The next version of ASP.NET embraces open source tools and technologies. This is not a bad thing. Opening up ASP.NET will only make it stronger by enabling the ability to use best practices for modern web development. Learning these best practices and the tools and technologies to implement them will make you a more productive developer. NPM, Bower, Gulp and Yeoman are only some of the things you need to master. These technologies will soon replace some of the things we’ve hacked and bandaged in ASP.NET over the years. This session will dive into these and other modern web development tools for your tool belt.
