Real-time location systems, also known as real-time tracking systems (RTLS) or asset tracking systems, are not new; however, current systems require long and tedious onboarding processes, high maintenance, and expensive operating costs.

With the power of the cloud and advanced IoT approaches, and by utilizing existing devices, we have built a practical and straightforward modern RTLS system.

In the session, Alon will present how the combination of Azure IoT Hub, Azure Functions, and Cosmos DB provides the foundation for such a system; and how Event Grid cloud-notifications provide the foundation for deterministic automatic integration tests.
